Christmas Special

HO HO HO!

As we all know, Christmas is coming soon and Santa Claus is coming to town!

To celebrate this, MY Art Studio Kota Damamsara Branch is organizing a Christmas Craft Party on 20/12/15 (Sunday) and everyone is welcomed to join us! Fee for this party will be RM50 for each participant. This party will start with registration where door gift with snacks will be given to each participants. Then we will move on to the making of the reindeer craft and lastly we will play games and have a photography session.

Other than that, we will also be celebrating Christmas by making snowman ornament during classes where existing students get to join for FREE while non existing students only need to pay RM20 to join us. Classes available are:

1. Wednesday 8.00-10.00pm
2. Thursday 8.00-10.00pm
3. Friday 4.00-6.00pm // 6.00-8.00pm
4. Saturday 10.00-12.00pm // 1.00-3.00pm // 5.00-7.00pm
5. Sunday 10.00-12.00pm // 1.00-3.00pm

School Holiday Program Updates

Good Day everyone!

2 weeks has passed and that means our school holiday program has finally ended!

MY Art Studio, Kota Damansara Branch is proud to say that we have succeed in this program because we manage to have more than 20 participants to join us in this program and at the same time, we had lots of fun making the mini clay figures.

The program started by introducing the topic to the participants. Videos, pictures and story were shown and told to ensure that they are familiar with the topic that they are going to be working on during the program. As expected, the participants are very much familiar with the superheroes and frozen characters because that's the cartoon that they are interested in.

Moving on, we gave the participants a briefing on how to handle the clay and what are the things they should and should not do to ensure that their mini clay figures are in good shape. Mixture of colour and ways to make the shapes are some of the example.

Next, participants chose the first character that they love the most and start making it out. From choosing the ones that are showed in our sample to the ones that are different, the process was although challenging but seeing the end products, it's all worth it.

Before moving on to the next part, we had our delicious lunch and tea time to give ourselves a break and be relaxed while charging the energy in us.

After giving our energy a charge, we now continue in making the background for the mini clay figures. The participants started by drawing their idea background and give the background a interesting story. From robbery to shopping, different kind of story were thought by the participants.

Lastly, we are finally done with our mini clay figure making!

School Holiday Program

Good day!

School holiday is coming and good news is MY Art Studio, Kota Damansara Branch is organizing a school holiday program to fulfill your holidays!

Everyone is welcomed to join us!

The registration fees for the program is RM100 per person (include lunch & tea time)

This holiday program is divided into 2 series which is Heroes Series and Frozen Series.

There are total of 5 sessions for each series which is:

Heroes Series:

23/11 (Mon) - 10am to 5pm

24/11 (Tue) - 10am to 5pm

25/11 (Wed) - 10am to 5pm

26/11 (Thurs) - 10am to 5pm

29/11 (Sun) - 1pm to 8pm

Frozen Series:

30/11 (Mon) - 10am to 5pm

01/12 (Tue) - 10am to 5pm

02/12 (Wed) - 10am to 5pm

03/12 (Thurs) - 10am to 5pm

06/12 (Sun) - 1pm to 8pm

The agenda for this program will be:

• 1/2 hours - Registration
• 3 hour - Character Making
• 1 hour - Lunch
• 2 hour - Background Making
• 1/2 hour - Games and Tea Time

Adventurous Halloween Drawing Contest

Good Day everyone!

If you have read our previous post, you should know that MY Art Studio, Kota Damansara Branch organized a Adventurous Halloween Drawing Contest last Sunday at Sunway Giza Mall.

Thanks to the support from everyone, we manage to have more than 150 contestant to join our drawing contest.

Starting with registration at 1.00 pm, parents and participants lined up to register themselves and to get ready for contest. They brought all the materials that they might need including table and chair to ensure that they are able to compete in their best condition.





At 2.00 pm sharp, we officially started the competition. The contestants pasted the topic (pumpkin, witch, skeleton bear) they drawn from our Halloween box during registration and started drawing. Some were so excited that they started colouring first instead of drawing. While the contestants are competing, their parents rest themselves at the parents area and some went to our enquiry counter to ask more about our classes.





At 3.00pm, some contestant started to hand in their drawings while most of the contestant are still trying their best to draw and complete their drawing. Time passed fast, at 4.00 pm sharp the contest has ended. While the judges are discussing about the drawings, we have exciting performances from Kickick Dance, Music Finds and Dancing Times. The performances attracted lots of attention from not only our contestant and parents but also people who are in the mall.

At 5.00 pm, the result is finally out! All the contestant were so excited to know the result. When the winner is announced, some contestant were really happy that they won and some could not believe that they actually won.

Congratulations to all the winners and for those who did not win, no worries because you are already a winner for being brave enough to join the contest.

Adventurous Halloween Drawing Contest @Sunway Giza Mall

Good day!

MY Art Studio, Kota Damansara Branch is organizing a Halloween themed drawing contest and it is happening on this Sunday (25th October 2015) at Sunway Giza Mall from 1.00pm to 5.00pm.

The objective of this contest is

1. To promote art education among young generation
2. To explore the artistic potential among young generation
3. To encourage young generation develop interest in art
4. To boost creativity and imagination among young generation

This contest is open to children from age of 5 years old to 13 years old and it is divided into 3 groups. 

Groups:

A - 5 to 7 years old

B - 8 to 10 years old

C - 11 to 13 years old

The registration fee for this contest is RM20 only! 

Due to good response from the crowd, we decided to extend our registration deadline to Friday (23th October 2015), 12.00 am (Malaysia Time).  This will be the last call for registration.

There are 3 ways to register for this contest:

On the spot registration on that day is also available but spaces are very limited.

Contest will be conducted in live drawing format and participants should bring their own materials. Drawing paper will be provided by organizer.

• Design educator of ICAD, Inti International University & Colleges - Mike Teo

This contest will be a very good chance for those who have no experience in drawing contest to step out of comfort zone and try something new. For those who have been joining drawing contests, you might want to come and give it a try to test your skill. What's more is our interesting prize that include cash, cash voucher, trophy and certificate of participant. (See picture below for more information) Goodies bag will also be given out to all the participants.

School Holiday Programme- Let's be an one-day cartoonist!!!!

During this two weeks school holiday, MY Art Studio, Kota Damansara offered a cartoon series workshop which the kids has a chance to be an one day cartoonist. The objectives of this workshop are to let the kids know more about the cartoonist of Hello Kitty, Winnie the Pooh and Mickey Mouse. Besides that, the kids also able to create their own cartoon through this workshop.

 

We received a quite good response from this workshop and one word from the kids = they are "ENJOY"!!!

The kids are enjoying watching video from the cartoon "HELLO KITTY".

And this is the craft we done for Hello Kitty!!

We tried out food art for this cartoon, have you ever think of make yourself a bento to school?

The kids are more likely to eat after done their bento. haha~~
